Thank you to the great staff and Board of Directors of the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce for electing me, Aaron Levine, as President for 2017.

I am excited for this wonderful opportunity to be at the forefront of this great Chamber of Commerce and to work with our Executive Director, Nancy Kleiberg to bring great events and value added opportunities for our members.

I have been asked several times in the past few weeks, “What does the Chamber of Commerce do, and what’s in it for me?”

The easiest way for me to answer this question is to look into our bylaws and pull out our mission statement:

The principal objective of this Chamber of Commerce are to develop, encourage And promote the commercial, professional, general business and residential interests of its                           members;  to promote and extend trade and commerce and to foster and develop business throughout the Greater Long Branch Area…

This above statement holds true to what we work on and commit to on a regular basis.  We are actively seeking new members and looking to grow within our community.

The Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce was originally incorporated in 1926 as the Long Branch Board of Trade to promote commerce amongst local business.  91 years later, we hold a strong position within the City of Long Branch and have the support of the City Council and the Mayor.

One of our initiatives for 2017 is to share opportunities of value with our current and future members.  We are going to do this via events and event sponsorship, website and social media promotion, kiosk presence to provide the public with information about our members, and by having our office doors open to any and all members that have questions or concerns.

We look forward to a great 2017, and if you are looking to join the chamber please let us know!

Aaron Levine
