85th Annual Business Awards Dinner
Last Friday, March 15th we held our 85th Annual Business Awards Dinner. It was a wonderful evening that we were pleased to share with our award winners and all who attended to support them and the Chamber as a whole. We are lucky to be members of a community whose empathy and service can be recognized year after year. It is an honor to recognize our Awards Recipients' contributions to The City of Long Branch, NJ and the local business community through this Awards Dinner. We'd like to thank Jeffrey Gould of Action Media Productions, and all who participated in its making, for this video about our Louis G Libutti Community Service honorees. Oceanfest
Every Fourth of July, hundreds of thousands of people head to Long Branch to celebrate! The scenic Oceanfront Promenade, the Great lawn, and the beautiful sandy beaches of Long Branch are all packed with people here to have a fabulous time.
The festivities starts –rain or shine – at 10 am and runs until 10 pm with the world class Oceanfest fireworks display. During the day there are fabulous bands, children’s entertainment; professional sand sculptures, dancers, clowns, strolling super heros and so much more. This year will include a Zipline on the beach!
For 29 years the Greater Long Branch Chamber of Commerce and the City of Long Branch have worked together to produce this wonderful event. Our corporate sponsors make it all possible including Monmouth Medical Center, Ocean Place Resort & Spa, Pier Village, Monmouth University, AJD Construction and Centex Homes, as well as through the generosity of numerous individuals and businesses in the area. You can contribute to the fund on the www.oceanfestnj.com site.
See you on the Fourth!!
Long Branch Fall Festival and Pooch Parade
The Long Branch Fall Festival and Pooch Parade is a family-oriented event in Pier Village.
The event features fabulous crafters, bounce houses, touch a truck, a kids costume parade, a DJ and costume characters, and trick-or-treating with the shops of Pier Village!
The highlight of the afternoon is the Pooch Parade where dogs have arrived in costume for the event. The judges have a very difficult time selecting the top 3!
